Upcycled Design Study – From Denim to Dress

A digital transformation using CLO3D — repurposing existing garments into a new form through precise pattern work.

This project explores how discarded garments can be digitally transformed using CLO3D. The final piece — a denim dress — was built by deconstructing a virtual jacket and jeans, then rebuilding the pattern to create a cohesive new silhouette.

This is part of an ongoing exploration of sustainable workflows in fashion using digital-only techniques.

💡 Key Transformation Steps (to be expanded):

  • Cropped jacket pieces and reused sleeve head
  • Merged pant legs into skirt panels
  • Created new neckline and front placket
  • Developed new facings and hem finishes in CLO3D
